During Japan's invasion of China in the Republic of China era, Ip Man fought against five top Japanese martial artists in succession. After killing Miura Ichirō, he went into hiding under the alias Ye Qi at the Dragon Tiger Gate. Despite facing doubts and misunderstandings, he remained patient. After being captured, he secretly taught children to be "martyrs". To rescue his wife, he single-handedly stormed a five-story tower, with martial artists from both the north and south coming to his aid. He defeated powerful enemies one after another and ultimately vanquished the sole master of the sword with his Eight-Slash Swords. The Black Dragon Society was destroyed, and Ip Man led the martial artists to join the anti-Japanese forces, vowing to drive out the Japanese invaders.
