Marcus Channing, the CEO of Channing Enterprises, once supported a poor village girl, Yvonne Fay, during his rural poverty alleviation efforts. Misunderstanding her importance in Marcus's life, Yvonne grew arrogant. Five years later, after graduating from college, Yvonne, eager to show off, falsely claimed Marcus was her brother and brought her classmates to intern at his company. Preoccupied with preparing for the company's IPO, Marcus delegated the internship arrangements to Catherine Summers, a manager at Channing Enterprises. Catherine mistakenly believed Yvonne was Marcus's relative, leading Yvonne to act recklessly within the company, even firing the technical team and declaring herself chairwoman. During a critical negotiation with the Goldwin Group, Yvonne's arrogance caused the deal to fall through, and Marcus collapsed from stress and was hospitalized. Yvonne continued her misdeeds, pushing the company to the brink of bankruptcy and even planning to sell it. After recovering, Marcus exposed Yvonne's lies. Out of spite, Yvonne conspired with a rival company, Harmony Group, to sabotage Marcus's canned orange project. Ultimately, Marcus uncovered the plot, Yvonne was arrested, and the company successfully went public with the support of the Goldwin Group.
