Former Jianbao Hall master Chu Yu has retired and is working as a cleaner. When she is forced to pay for a fake gold bowl she didn't break, she smashes more forgeries in anger, sparking public outrage—until her old subordinate Xiao Ye comes to her aid and invites her to reclaim the hall. Chu Yu initially refuses, citing her son's wedding. At the wedding, still in her cleaning uniform, she is publicly humiliated by her husband, Lu Yan, her son Lu Yinian, and Lu's former love Xu Qiulan, even pressured to donate a kidney. Disheartened, Chu Yu finally accepts Xiao Ye's offer, reclaims her identity, reveals the truth to shock everyone, and revitalizes Jianbao Hall.
