Cordelia, a jewelry designer, hid her identity as an heiress and dated Aldric for four years. While pregnant and preparing for their wedding, she discovered Aldric's ambiguous relationship with his "close female friend" Isolde, who also had a history of pregnancy with him. Cordelia decisively ended the relationship and terminated the pregnancy. She then accepted an arranged family marriage and married Benedict, who had secretly loved her for years. Aldric entered a sham marriage with Isolde to compete in a contest for his company's IPO, unaware that Isolde had stolen Cordelia's designs. As a judge in the competition, Cordelia exposed the truth, revealing Isolde's misconduct. Isolde faced the consequences as debt collectors pursued her, while Aldric was left with regret. In the end, Cordelia let go of the past, found genuine love with Benedict, and held a perfect wedding.
